Creating your First Pair of 3D Glasses

Hello everyone!
Welcome to the new series on 3D technology. In this series, we are going to explore the magical world that is 3D and understand the science behind this modern form of illusion.
Now, the fist type of 3D that we shall analyze is the basic (and the powerful) 'Stereoscopic Anaglyph 3D.'

Before we move ahead, we need to have 3D glasses for ourselves. In this article I am going to show you the easiest and the cheapest way to make your own pair of anaglyph 3D glasses! And guess what, the materials that you'll require will be available for almost no cost in any stationery store.
Things you'd need: Chart papers (or a Cardboard), scissors, markers (red and blue), Cellophane papers (red and cyan or blue), lots of glue, transparent plastic paper.

Steps:-
1) Click here to get the layout of your 3D glasses.2) Save the file as a .pdf file and print out the page.3) Paste it on a chart paper or on a cardboard and cut out the outline. To increase the stiffness, you can use more than one layer of chart papers.4) Now paste the red and cyan (or blue) cellophane papers on the two lens slots provided. You may have to add more than one layer of cellophane on each eyes in order to get the dark shad that is required. About 7 layers should be sufficient. You can even use markers on a transparent plastic sheet and paste them (this is not advisable as markers will have an uneven intensity of colour).5) Remember to use the red filter on your left eye and the cyan (or blue) filter on your right eye.6) Et Voil�! You have just made a pair of 3D glasses for free.
